Uploading your presentation

To be able to share your presentation during the webinar, you need to upload it in WebinarGeek before the live broadcast, so you’ll be able to quickly share it during the live webinar.

You can also use screen sharing during your live webinar.

Click on the webinar > "Edit webinar" > "Webinar" > “Presentation”.

There are different ways to upload a presentation. Below we’ll discuss them one by one.

Powerpoint

To upload your Powerpoint you must save it as a pdf file.

  1. Open Powerpoint click on "File"> "Save as"> Select the location where the presentation should be saved.
  2. Then click on the arrow on the right to open the drop-down menu and select "PDF (* .pdf)" and click on "Save".

Click here if you work with PowerPoint for Mac and scroll on the website by going to 'Export your presentation to PDF format'.

After saving, click on your webinar> "Edit webinar"> "Webinar"> "Presentation"> "PDF file" and upload your PDF file.

Animations and videos

When using animations, you can share your PowerPoint file using "Screen sharing".

Here’s why: the animations will be lost as soon as the slides are converted to separate images. When you’re just using a minor animation, such as introducing bullet points one by one, you can consider creating a separate slide for each added bullet point.

When you’ve uploaded a video into your PowerPoint file, it won’t be able to play from the presentation itself. You’ll have to use the video injection.

PDF

Upload your presentation as a PDF file, so we can convert it for you to separate images.

For example, think about a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation that’s converted into a PDF file. Here you’ll find more information on how to do this.

Click on your webinar > "Edit webinar" > "Webinar" > "Presentation" > “PDF” and select the PDF file you’d like to upload.

Your PDF file will be converted into separate images, which can be easily controlled from the live environment.

Individual images (.png, .jpg)

Got any separate images or slides you’d like to upload? No worries. You can do this in either a .png or .jpg file format.

For example, think about your PowerPoint or Keynote presentation that’s been converted to separate images. You can also use this when using Canva. Here you can find some more information on how to do this.

Click on your webinar > "Edit webinar" > "Webinar" > "Presentation" > “Separate images”.

Navigate to the folder you saved the separate images in. Use CTRL + A (Windows) or CMD + A (iOS) to select all slides at once and choose "Open" to upload the selected slides. Now that’s some real efficiency.
