Operating chat

In the webinar dashboard, choose "Open live webinar" to enter the webinar room.

The messages are directly displayed on the host’s screen before, during and after the webinar

There are separate screens for public and private chat.

The tab with one speech bubble is the private chat, and the tab with two speech bubbles is the public chat. With the switch on the tabs you have the choice to enable or disable the chat.

New messages

A new message is displayed with a red notification indicator. That way you’ll always know when someone sent you a new message. Also when you don’t have the chat opened as a host in that moment.

The private chat has two display options, “Conversations” and “Last messages”.

For “Conversations” there is an individual conversation for each individual. Here, the last message of the conversation will be displayed.

In “Last messages” you’ll see the last 100 private chats in one overview. You can’t find any moderator or co-host answers here. Click on a message to open the chat with the viewer.

Send a message

Type a message in the text box and press “enter” to send a message.

Unread messages

Messages in the private chat that aren’t opened yet, will be marked yellow. That way you don’t have to miss a single message anymore.

Start new message

In the control panel, choose the second icon on the right hand side, here you’ll find the participants list.

Look for the viewer you’d like to send a message to and over your mouse over them. To your right, a speech bubble will appear. Click on the speech bubble to start a private conversation with the viewer.

Banning viewers from chat

In the control panel, choose the second icon on the right hand side, here you’ll find the participants list.

Look for the viewer you’d like to ban from the chat and over your mouse over them. To your right, a ban symbol will appear. Click on the symbol to ban the viewer from the chat.

The viewer will still be able to watch the webinar, but won’t see any messages in the chat anymore and can’t send any either.

If you’re willing to forgive to viewer, click on the ban symbol again to deactivate the ban.
