In november we worked hard to launch two features we received a lot of requests for. We introduced side-by-side presentations, which enabled webinar creators to show both the presentation and the webcam at the same time during the live broadcast. And we introduced importing contacts. This can be useful when your subscription process is executed through non-conventional means.

Presenting side-by-side

This feature allows you to be visible for your viewers during the entire live webinar. After uploading your presentation as separate images, you have the choice to enable this option.

By being visible throughout the broadcast, the webinar will feel a lot more personal. This can absolutely contribute to creating a personal connection with your audience.

Importing contacts

Have you been a little busy bee and collected a bunch of registrations for your webinar outside the standard WebinarGeek registration process? You’re in luck, because you can now import these contacts into WebinarGeek using a CSV file.

After importing, you can automatically send people a confirmation email, or you can manually send over a unique URL which allows them to participate in the live webinar session.

Other improvements

  • The video player for viewers is now larger.

  • The broadcast page for viewers has been optimized for different types of screens and devices. The player will now be automatically be adapted the the size of the screen.

  • On small screens, the chat will now be displayed underneath the video instead of next to the video.

  • It’s no longer mandatory to use a field for a last name on the registration form.

  • Mandatory fields for the registration form are now actually being marked as mandatory.
