LEARNING GOAL: You will learn how to test the webinar so you can start your webinar with a confident feeling.

After you set everything up for the webinar, it's time to test! Go to the test webinar and invite the co-presenter to test with you. It is important that the co-presenter clicks on the test link, so you are in the same environment. Test it extensively in advance so you know what to expect, and get a feeling with the tool and co-presenting.

Co-presenting requires a lot of power from your computer. The sound and image that presenters hear and see among themselves is not the same as the sound that the viewer hears. We recommend you to test with a test viewer that checks if the connection is good.

Stay in contact during the webinar

During the webinar, there might be some points you want to discuss or ask each other. The viewers don't need to know everything, so how do you solve that? Very simple. Go to the chat icon and send a message in the Presenter chat. You'll easily keep in touch during the webinar!

Connecting

Of course, the co-presenter doesn't suddenly appear out of thin air. You’ll have to connect first! Make your choice in advance, do you want the co-presenter there from the start, or later?  For example, you can start together right away in a webinar you are hosting with a partner, because you share a target audience. For a webinar where you invite someone as a speaker, it's fine if you connect at a later time. If you want to see a video, check our article about how to establish a connection.

Check, check, double check!

Before you start, make sure everything is filled in correctly in the webinar dashboard. Is the co-presenter really co-presenter, and not added as a moderator? After a quick check, you can connect. If you want the co-presenter to be there right away, you do that from the start. First, log in to the live or test environment as the main presenter.

Connecting before the webinar starts

The main presenter gets a notification if the co-presenter is not online. Co-presenters should then refresh the page until they can connect.

When the co-presenters are ready, they click connect. The main presenter will then receive a notification. If you agree with the notification, the connection is made.

When everyone is connected, all presenters can be seen at the bottom of the screen. Communication can take place via audio. Ideal for the preparation! As the main presenter, you then choose who is in the picture by clicking on the image of this co-presenter.

Connecting during the webinar

A co-presenter can connect to the webinar at any time. If the co-presenter connects during the live webinar, the microphone will automatically be set to mute. You turn the microphone on by clicking on the microphone at the bottom of the co-presenter's view. Good to know before your co-presenter starts with sharing important info!

Starting the (test) webinar

The main presenter is in control and decides when the (test) webinar starts. This is done very easy by clicking 'Start (test) webinar' in the webinar environment. The viewers will never see more than one presenter on screen at a time. However, the presenters can all be heard at the same time! Are you the main presenter and do you want to avoid background noise? Then mute the presenters who are not speaking by clicking on the microphone icon.

The main presenter recognizes who is on screen by the blue bar at the top of the screen. This presenter can also be seen large on the screen the viewers will see. Switching is done simply by clicking on the image of the presenter and can be done as often as needed!

Press 'Stop (test) webinar' to end the webinar. This also immediately disconnects co-presenters. To test again or connect live, simply reconnect.
