Webinar Wonderland: Celebrating 10 Years of WebinarGeek

It started with a sneaker collection.
Not a business plan. Not a pitch deck. Just a closet full of Nikes, a big idea, and a founder willing to bet it all on a better way to do webinars.
Back in 2015, Remco Treuren sold his sneaker collection to build the first version of WebinarGeek. No investors. No flashy launch. Just grit, curiosity, and a belief that webinars could be simpler, smarter, and a whole lot more human.
Ten years later, that bet has paid off.
We’re now a team of 50! Still independent, still based in Zoetermeer, and proudly serving thousands of customers around the world. From one-man consultancies to fast-growing SaaS teams, they’ve used webinars to teach, sell, onboard, inspire, and connect. And we’ve been cheering them on every step of the way.
So when it came time to celebrate a decade of WebinarGeek, we knew we had to do something special.
Not just another company toast. A real party. With the people who helped us get here.
We called it Webinar Wonderland. And it was exactly that.
Customers from across the Benelux joined us at Lodge at the Lake, a lakeside venue with just the right mix of nature, neon, and enough space for a stage and a grill.
From the very start, the energy was electric.
We kicked things off with our customers who took the mic.
We heard story after story of how webinars helped turn ideas into real results. From KNAB increasing their NPS score solely by using webinars, to Treams’ ever so successful Masterclasses. If you ever needed proof that webinars work, it was all in that room.
Then we hosted our first-ever live product update — yes, in front of a real audience. We shared what we’ve been building behind the scenes, what’s coming next, and how we’re thinking about the future of hosting webinars.
And then... the “official program” ended. But the real fun was just getting started.
BBQ smoke in the air. Beats from the speakers. And a surprise no one saw coming.
Two of our teammates wrote, recorded, and performed an original party track for the occasion.
(We’re still debating if we should drop it on Spotify.)
Outside, the BBQ was in full swing. Inside, the dance floor filled up fast. No stiff networking vibes, just colleagues, customers, and friends celebrating what we’ve built together.
Some came for the updates. Others stayed for the burgers.
But what brought us all together was something deeper:
A shared belief that showing up live with your voice, your face, your story, still matters.
That connection isn’t a trend. It’s the heart of good business.
And honestly? After ten years behind the screen, it felt really good to connect face-to-face.
